Hi! I’m excited to be teaching 5th grade at Ell-Saline this year! This is my fifth year in education and my first year as a classroom teacher.

My journey to teaching has been a little unconventional. I spent 15 years as a registered nurse before COVID prompted a change in life direction. We moved to Lindsborg, and I began work as a Title Para at Soderstrom Elementary so I could be more available to my kids—and I absolutely loved it! That experience inspired me to go back to school, and I earned my bachelor's degree from Wichita State University in 2024.

I am passionate about literacy. Being able to read well, think about what you read, and evaluate its importance is an essential skill in today's world. 

I look forward to learning and growing together!
