ESE Principal

Welcome to ESE! ❤️ My name is Darla Raile. I’m originally from St. Francis, KS, and attended FHSU for my undergraduate work before beginning my teaching career in Salina. While in Salina, I taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and Title I. During that time, I earned two Master’s degrees from Baker University—an MA in Education and an MS in Building Leadership 🎓📚.

I later returned to St. Francis to teach 4th grade and 5th/6th ELA for a year before stepping into the K–5 principal role. I served as principal there for six years before returning to the Salina area. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead Ell-Saline Elementary, and this year marks my fourth year at ESE 🎉.

I look forward to continuing to build excellence across our building and district ⭐
