Tyler Casteel – School Resource Officer
I am proud to serve as the School Resource Officer for Ell-Saline USD 307. My goal is to help create a safe, supportive, and positive environment where every student has the opportunity to learn and succeed. I work closely with students, staff, and families to promote school safety, build positive relationships, and provide education on emergency preparedness, personal safety, traffic safety, and responsible decision-making.
I bring a diverse public safety background to my role, including experience in law enforcement, emergency communications, military service, and the fire service. I believe that effective school safety is about more than security—it is about building trust, communicating openly, and developing meaningful relationships with students and the school community.
As an SRO and coach, I consider it a privilege to be a positive role model and mentor for our students. I want students to know that I am here not only when something goes wrong, but also to listen, encourage, answer questions, and support them along the way.
My goal is simple: to help every student feel safe, respected, and supported while helping make Ell-Saline a place where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
