Hello Cardinal Family, My name is Taylor Bonnette, and I am excited to begin my first year at Ell-Saline as the Social/Emotional Counselor and District Mental Health Liaison. This is my third year serving as a school counselor, and I am honored to support our students in this role. In my position, I work with students to develop social-emotional skills such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, coping strategies, and healthy relationship building. I provide individual and small group support, collaborate with teachers and families, and help connect students to appropriate resources when needed. As the district’s Mental Health Liaison, I also coordinate services between the school and outside providers, support crisis response efforts, and help ensure students have access to the mental health support they need to be successful both in and out of the classroom. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Administration from Washburn University and my Master of Science in School Counseling from Walden University. In addition, I am a licensed EMT, certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid, and have completed training as a Trauma-Informed Care Practitioner. My background in the medical field has shaped my approach to student support and ultimately led me to pursue my passion for mental health within the school setting. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, watching sports, playing guitar, and being outdoors. I look forward to building relationships with students and families, meeting each student where they are, and supporting them throughout their middle and high school journey. Go Cardinals! |
