High School Wrestling

December 5, 2025- Coach Smith from Cloud County Community College invited us to bring the Ell Saline Wrestling team to watch the college wrestle.  Saturday, December 6th William Bristow at 157 lbs, Kayden Tatum at 142 lbs. and Hayden Jacobs at 138 lbs will wrestle at South Invitational, Tuesday December 9th at the half time of the girls game Sterling Harp will be on 104.9 FM radio to introduce himself as the new Ell Saline Assistant Wrestling Coach.  

December 6, 2025 - South High School - Boys - JV- Congratulations! Hayden Jacobs dominated at 138 lbs, going 3-0 and came in at 1st place!  Will Bristow battled hard at 157 lbs, finishing 2-2 and placing in his bracket.  Kayden Tatum represented Ell Saline, but fell short of a win.  Congrats to all Wrestlers!  

December 13, 2025 - Great Bend Tournament - Hailey Miller brought home the medal!  She placed 6th at the Great Bend Wrestling Tournament.

December 18, 2025 - Abilene High School - Boys JV & Girls JV/V - Will Bristow placed 1st at 150 lbs, Hayden Jacobs placed 2nd at 138 lbs, and Kayden Tatum placed 3rd at 144 lbs.  Way to go!!

January 8, 2026-  Boys & Girls - V - So proud of this group, there was 5 of us and we wrestled 21 matches! Hailey Miller finished second! Hayden Jacobs won the most of his matches. Zoii Ollendieck lost in overtime by 1. Will Bristow wrestled 6 matches pinned his guy in the finals! Tough tournament getting us ready for the final stretch! Larned Coach said to me great kids and great coaches! Really impressed with your team! 

January 17, 2026-  Hays - Girls & Boys - V - 9am - Haydon Jacobs places 2nd!

January 27, 2026 - We fought hard in the tournament with quality opponents and we had 2 wrestlers place! Hayden Jacobs wrestled well, finishing 2nd and Zoii Ollendieck placing 4th. Lots of improvement each week preparing our team for Regional!  Friday, (1/30/26) we wrestle in Remington and Saturday, (1/31/26) we wrestle in Larned. Go Cards!

February 12-14, 2026 - HS Girls Regional - Hailey Miller is going to STATE, congrats on qualifying!! State will be at Fort Hays State University on February 27, and February 28, 2026.

February 20-21, 2026 - HS Boys Regional - Will Bristow competed at Southeast of Saline, he fought 2 matches and was nominated Best Male Wrestler of the Year by the coaches and received the Angry Bird award presented at Regionals, outstanding work ethic, determination, gave 100% all season.

February 19, 2026 -  Middle School Wrestling had their first Wrestling Tournament in Lyons, KS.  Ashtyn Hamel 1-0, Wadyn Husereau 1-2, Collynn Bachman 2-1, Taylor Gillham 0-2, Tarven Dotson 0-1, Emerson Brin 0-3, Jackson Porter 2-1, Owen Livingston 1-0, Lea Bristow 3-0, Sophia Billinger 0-2, Morgan Fink 0-3.  Proud of our Middle School Wresters- Coach Bachman

March 2, 2026 - Remington - Owen Livingston 3-0 Wadyn Husereau  2-0 Collynn Bachman 1-0 Emerson Brin 1-0 Lea Bristow 1-0 Ashtyn Hamel 1-0 Sophia Billinger 1-0.  Everyone wrestled very well!
