The softball and baseball games that were postponed Tuesday evening will be played on Thursday April 25th. Same time and location, just hopefully a nicer day.
Track that was scheduled for Tuesday evening has been moved to Monday April 22nd. Same time and location, just a nicer day, please bring sun screen because it could be 95 degrees that day.
Over the last week or 10 days many post season honors have been coming in for our basketball players as well as our middle school band who competed at the HOA music festival.
Congratulations to the middle school band as they received a I rating for their performances on their two concert pieces. If you happened to be at the concert on Monday you got to hear the two songs they played at music festival.
Congratulations to Mr. Hopkins and the middle school and high school bands. They were in concert on Monday and they sounded really, really good. I am really excited to see how Mr. Hopkins and our band grows and improves over the next few years.
Thank you to our five senior band members: Carley P, Camryn G, Joslyn P, Madi H, and Kalei P, your persistence, resilience, and hard work have definitely paid off. You will be greatly missed as you have been the anchor for our band for the past several years.
Congratulations to our high school basketball teams as they have picked up several post season awards.
Brogan R and Mr. Windel were both finalist for 2A player and coach of the year.
Brogan R, Kas K, and Brin H, all received All-State recognition. Brin and Kas honorable mention and Brogan First Team.
Brogan R, Kas K, Marshall J, Ally R, Brin H, and Bayleigh S all received All-HOA League recognition. Brogan 1st team, Kas and Brin 2nd team, and Marshall, Bayleigh, and Ally honorable mention.
Ms. Glenn’s math classes reached several mile stones this week. Her math classes have eclipsed 500 total hours of intervention time. Completing 75,000 math problems. In that time they have mastered 200 geometric skills and 250 Algebraic skills. I am excited to see how our intervention time has paid off for our students.
High school baseball split with Remington on Thursday and will play Inman on Tuesday this week and Bennington on Friday.
The high school softball team also split with Remington on Thursday and will play this Friday at Bennington.
All four track teams had their first meet last Thursday and turned in many good performances to start the year. Highlighting the day would be the high school boys who won their meet. MS is back on the track this Thursday at Goessel and the high school is off this week.
High school golf had their first tournament on Thursday and will be at Herington today and Salina Municipal on Friday. Dillon Moore was our top finisher at 104.
Today we will be hosting the HOA League Scholars Bowl meet at 1:30 which will wrap up their season.
