Kansas Boys State: Leadership
Our organization provides a premier leadership program opportunity for sophomores and junior males that has been going on for more than 85 years. Boys State is held at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, from Sunday, May 31, 2026 to Saturday, June 6, 2026. During our session, the students will be able to learn about state and local government and how it operates through our immersive simulation with a hands-on learning-by-doing approach. Attendees will have the following opportunities:
● Earn college credit from K-State at a deeply discounted price
● Earn college scholarships from $1,000 to $25,000
● Attend a college fair and visit with over 40 colleges and trade schools
● Earn up to 7 merit badges towards Eagle Scout rank
● Interact with state and local officials who visit Boys State to talk about their experience
● Leadership skills that are not just civic related like conflict resolution, public speaking,
and empathy to name a few
● Resume line that sets them apart from others, especially if they are seeking an
appointment to a service academy
This experience will help them hone their leadership abilities and bring it back to your campus, whether that be on a court, field, stage, or in a classroom. This premier program has allowed some of our alums to enter significant leadership positions and other great opportunities in their lifetimes - from governor or ambassador to local mayor or organization leader.
